We now offer a Class 3B Laser Treatment at our East Orlando/Waterford Lakes Chiropractic Clinic!

If you are suffering from pain or limited motion due to a soft tissue, joint, or tendon injury, you may benefit from working with one of our chiropractors or massage therapists to return to normal activity. Your providers may use a variety of treatments, and one alternative therapy may be Cold Laser Therapy. This is a low-level therapeutic light treatment used to improve healing and it may be done as part of a well-rounded rehab program set by your chiropractor or therapist.

How does it work?

Cold Laser Therapy delivers specific redlight energy in the form of photons to damaged cells in order to increase blood supply and cellular energy production. This helps to activate and promote the body’s own healing processes. Regular, repetitive use of Cold Laser Therapy can accelerate the healing of scar tissue, aid in the reduction of pain, and inflammation, increase joint mobility, and promote a healthy cell metabolism. Laser therapy treatment times can range from 5 to 30 mins and can be done as a separate scheduled appointment or included during your massage therapy visit.

Does Cold Laser Therapy hurt?

Cold laser therapy is a painless procedure involving the introduction of light of specific wavelengths to injured tissues. The light creates a photobiomodulation effect, increasing blood flow and speeding cellular processes to improve healing. Patients often report that they feel some warmth, and that the feeling is relaxing, or they feel nothing at all!
