Many primary care physicians in the Veteran’s Administration simply don’t see the value in chiropractic care for veterans. Or, they may feel like they’ll come under scrutiny by the department or someone in it because of their referral. It is frustrating and ultimately unfair to deny you the help you need.
You may be able to receive the chiropractic care you need, even if you have been denied a referral before. Working as part of an integrated team, we provide services for pain management, rehabilitation, and even primary care-all services covered by the standard VA benefits package. Typically, you can receive at least 8-12 visits to our veteran chiropractor at no cost to you.
What the Summit Chiropractic Team Offers You
Most patients search for a chiropractor in order to get rid of the pain. That’s only natural, as pain is your nervous system’s first signal that something is wrong. Our chiropractors treat the source of your pain, not just the symptoms. Our chiropractors will use x-rays and other techniques to determine where your spine and/or joints are unbalanced, how balanced your overall musculoskeletal system is, and whether you have any torn, strained, or otherwise damaged connective tissue.
Treatments Offered
Most veterans are able to get 8-12 treatments at no cost to them using the VA’s outpatient fee-basis program. Treatments start with diagnosis and initial re-alignment of the affected area and may include spinal or postural screenings.
While the physical chiropractic care will continue, each chiropractor will also tailor the program to your needs. This usually includes corrective exercises and stretches to keep your body healthy long after your last session. Treatment may also include
